I was the Head of Editorial Design for my University's Student Magazine, The Demon (a play on De Montfort!), in the first term of my Final Year, resulting in 4 monthly publications.
I was responsible for the creative concept of each issue, the colour palette, the guidelines and liaising with all the designers. The latter required me to review work and make corrections or improvements to any that I needed a bit of extra support. I also had to get the publications print-ready and sent to the printers.
I found the role rewarding and it helped me to develop my leadership and team-working skills, as well as sparking my love of InDesign and editorial. Below are some images of the articles I designed.
